Philadelphia 76ers @ Denver Nuggets Tips - Sixers can cover the point spread

They are coming off a 120-85 loss to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.

Doc Rivers' side hardly got a chance after the Jazz dominated the second quarter 33-19. Shake Milton scored 18 points while Tyrese Maxey added 16 to take the lead the short-handed Sixers (8-7).

Joel Embiid, Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle will again not play for Philadelphia. Also out is Ben Simmons, who has yet to play this season for personal reasons.

Milton, Maxey, Tobias Harris and Seth Curry are expected to lead the Sixers against the Nuggets (9-5).

The Nuggets' five-game winning streak ended on Monday following their 111-101 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Nikola Jokic recorded a season-high 35 points and 16 rebounds but it wasn’t enough. Monte Morris added 17 points while Aaron Gordon contributed 14.

Will Barton did not play due to a back injury and he is a game-time decision here. Michael Porter Jr. will continue to miss out for Denver.
