AC Milan are aiming to get a second straight win in the Italian Serie A on Thursday against Roma.
The Rossoneri are coming off a 4-2 win over Empoli. Franck Kessié scored two goals while Alessandro Florenzi and Theo Hernández added one each.
AC Milan are currently in second place in the league with 42 points from 19 games.
AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will not be able to use Alessandro Plizzari, Ciprian Tatarusanu, Pietro Pellegri and Simon Kjaer in this game due to injury or illness. Kessié, Fodé Ballo-Touré and Ismaël Bennacer are also out because of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Roma have not lost in their last three games in the Serie A and are coming off a 1-1 draw against Sampdoria.
Eldor Shomurodov scored in the 72nd minute but they gave up a goal after just eight minutes. José Mourinho's side are in sixth place with 32 points from 19 games.
Daniel Fuzato, Borja Mayoral and Tammy Abraham are on Roma's injury list while Federico Fazio is suspended. Amadou Diawara, Ebrima Darboe and Felix Afena-Gyan will also not feature due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Milan recorded a 2-1 win over Roma in the last meeting between the two teams in November. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kessie were on target to lead the Rossoneri to their second straight victory against Roma. Stephan El Shaarawy scored for the Giallorossi.
AC Milan vs Roma Tips
1. Match Result - AC Milan to win
AC Milan beat Roma in their first meeting this season and the same result is expected here.
2. Total Goals - Under 2.5
Although the two clubs have scored multiple goals in their recent matches, we expect a low-scoring affair in this one.
3. Both Teams To Score - No
We don’t expect Roma to score here.
4. Anytime Goalscorer - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Swedish superstar scored in their victory over Roma earlier this season and it would not be a surprise if he again finds the net in their rematch.
5. Correct Score - AC Milan 1-0
One goal should be enough for AC Milan to escape with a victory over Roma.
We expect Milan to get back-to-back wins after this game.
