A crucial Group I match will take place in Tirana on Tuesday as Albania play host to Poland.

The two teams are in a tight race for a playoff-spot in the group, with the Albanians enjoying just a one-point lead over the Poles with three rounds remaining.

Poland crushed Albania 4-1 in Warsaw last month behind goals from Robert Lewandowski, Adam Buksa, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Karol Linetty but Edoardo Reja's side have racked up three straight wins since then.

They beat Hungary (1-0) and San Marino (5-0) at home before pulling off a 1-0 triumph over the Magyars in their rematch in Budapest last Saturday.

Armando Broja scored the game winner against Hungary in the 80th minute as Albania improved to 15 points, four behind leaders England. The win, however, was bittersweet after Berat Djimsiti suffered a fractured forearm and will be out of action for at least a month.

Endri Cekici will also not feature after getting his second yellow card in their last game.

Poland are unbeaten in their last four matches and are coming off a 5-0 rout of San Marino on Saturday. Buksa was again on the scoresheet in Warsaw along with Karol Swiderski, Tomasz Kedziora and Krzysztof Piatek.

Linetty is suspended for the Poles.

Verdict

We expect a close game between Poland and Albania but we are backing the Poles to pull off this win.
