Australia meet China in Qatar in the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Australia’s recent record has been impressive and have several key players back, which is why I’m tipping Australia to win to nil. The Aussies won all eight of their first round qualifiers to advance into the next round.

The Socceroos recorded big wins over Chinese Taipei and Nepal, before edging past Jordan in a 1-0 win. Midfielders Tom Rogic and Aaron Mooy return to the squad after previously missing due to coronavirus restrictions.

Forward Daniel Arzani also returns after an impressive display at the Tokyo Olympics.

China qualified into the next round comfortably, winning their last four matches. Their last match saw them pick up a 3-1 win over Syria, whom they had previously lost to earlier in the campaign.

The last meeting between the two teams took place in the quarterfinals of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup with Australia posting a 2-0 victory in Brisbane.

Australia have several key players back and have defended well in recent matches. I’m backing Australia to win to nil.
