Brentford vs Liverpool Tips - Reds to cover handicap

  • EPL Week 6 match will be held at Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday (17:30 BST)
  • This is the first meeting between the two clubs since 1989
  • Liverpool have won their last 4 matches in all competitions
  • Brentford are coming off wins over Wolverhampton (Premier League) and Oldham (Carabao Cup)

Brentford will get a proper introduction into how tough Premier League football can be when they welcome Liverpool to their home ground.

This will be far and away their toughest assignment to date and while they have proven to be a stubborn opponent, this will be a step too far for them.

Liverpool have taken 13 of 15 points while conceding just the one goal. They demolished Crystal Palace 3-0 at home in their last Premier League match to join Chelsea at the summit. This market offers up two solid value plays with Liverpool looking set for another big win.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are both expected to return after being rested in their 3-0 win at Norwich in Round 3 of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday. The Reds extended their winning streak in all competitions to four matches.

Brentford are also upbeat after winning at Wolverhampton 2-0 in their last Premier League match and blasting Oldham 7-0 in Round 3 of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday behind four goals from Marcus Forss. The Bees are currently ranked ninth in the table with eight points from five matches.

This is the first encounter between Liverpool and Brentford since the 1989 FA Cup.

You can back them to win and keep a clean sheet at $2.50 but I’ll instead go for a Reds win by at least two goals.

Every one of their Premier League victories have come by at least two goals so that’s the direction I’ll be heading.
