Burnley are seeking their first home win over Chelsea in almost 39 years when the two sides face off in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Clarets are coming off a 2-0 home loss to Leicester City on Tuesday and they remain in the relegation zone with 21 points from 25 matches.
Matej Vydra, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Erik Pieters and Dale Stephens are not expected to feature for Burnley manager Sean Dyche in this game due to injuries.
Chelsea last played in the Premier League on February 19 where they posted a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace. They have won two in a row in this competition where they currently trail Manchester City and Liverpool with 50 points from 25 matches.
Thomas Tuchel’s boys have since beaten Lille (2-0) in the Champions League, lost to Liverpool on penalties in the Carabao Cup final and defeated Luton Town (3-2) in the FA Cup.
Saul Níguez, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were on target in their last outing.
Andreas Christensen, Hakim Ziyech and César Azpilicueta are all doubtful for Chelsea in this contest while Ben Chilwell is out for the season.
Burnley and Chelsea battled to a 1-1 draw in their last meeting back in November. Kai Havertz put the Blues ahead in the first half before Vydra tied the scores in the 79th minute.
Burnley last defeated Chelsea in 2017 but they haven’t triumphed over the Blues at Turf Moor since April 1983.
