Cagliari play host to Torino in the Italian Serie A on Monday.

The hosts are sitting second last in the league after winning just one of their opening 15 matches.

Walter Mazzarri became the team's new manager in September but he hasn’t been able to improve their performances.

The Sardinian club recently lost four straight games but have drawn their last three. Cagliari drew 2-2 draw at Sassuolo and 1-1 against Salernitana before a 0-0 draw at Verona.

Centre back Sebastian Walukiewicz is injured. Central defender Diego Godín is close to a return alongside right back Paolo Faragò.

Torino have been inconsistent this season and done their best work at home.

Ivan Juric’s side have lost 1-0 in their last four away games, those coming against Napoli, AC Milan, Spezia and Roma.

Torino are coming off a 2-2 draw against Empoli. They were 2-0 up after 15 minutes but couldn’t hold on after Wilfried Stephane Singo was sent off in the 32nd minute.

Defenders Cristian Ansaldi, Ricardo Rodríguez and Koffi Djidji are injured with Wilfried Stephane Singo suspended.

Midfielders Rolando Mandragora and Simone Verdi are also out alongside striker Andrea Belotti.

Cagliari have won once all season, but have shown some fight in recent weeks with three straight draws. Another draw is likely against a Torino side that struggle to win on the road in Serie A.
