Manchester City are aiming to get another win over Leipzig as they concluded their campaign in Group A of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Man City are already assured of a spot in the last 16 and they have secured the top spot in the group. Pep Guardiola's side have 12 points from five games.
Man City beat PSG 2-1 in their last game in the Champions League behind goals from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus. This is the Citizens' third consecutive win in this competition.
Man City followed that win with victories against West Ham United (2-1), Aston Villa (2-1) and Watford (3-1) in the English Premier League. Man City have won their last seven games in all competitions.
Leipzig got their first win in the Champions League after beating Club Brugge 5-0 in Round 5.
Christopher Nkunku and Emil Forsberg both scored twice while André Silva added another to lead the German club.
Leipzig have no hope of advancing to the last 16 but they need to beat Man City to qualify for the Europa League. Leipzig and Brugge are currently tied for third place in the group with four points but the German club have a superior head-to-head goal difference.
Leipzig are coming off back-to-back defeats to Bayer Leverkusen (3-1) and Union Berlin (2-1) in the Bundesliga. Leipzig manager Jesse Marsch was sacked after their loss to Union Berlin and he was replaced by Achim Beierlorzer.
Leipzig have a long injury list and among those who will not feature in this contest are Willi Orban, Hugo Novoa, Yussuf Poulsen, Marcel Halstenberg, Ilaix Moriba, Dani Olmo and Marcelo Saracchi. Tyler Adams will return from suspension.
Man City beat Leipzig 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium in their first meeting in September. The goal scorers for the hosts were Nathan Aké, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, João Cancelo and Jesus. Nkunku recorded a hat-trick for Leipzig while Nordi Mukiele scored an own goal.
We expect Man City to win and both teams to score here.
