Liverpool are aiming for their seventh consecutive win in the English Premier League on Saturday when they play host to West Ham United.
The Reds annihilated Leeds 6-0 in the last round with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane leading the charge with two goals apiece. Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk also joined the scoring party.
Liverpool remain in second place behind Manchester City in the league table with 60 points from 26 matches.
Liverpool are coming off a 2-1 victory over Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Cup to extend their winning streak in all competitions to 11 matches. Takumi Minamino scored both goals for Jürgen Klopp’s side, who are also unbeaten in their last 14 outings.
Roberto Firmino remains out for Liverpool along with Matip and Thiago Alcantara.
West Ham are targeting back-to-back wins after beating Wolverhampton 1-0 in their last outing. Tomas Soucek scored the lone goal in the 59th minute as the Hammers extended their unbeaten streak to four matches. They are currently ranked fifth in the league with 45 points from 27 matches.
The East London club lost at Southampton 3-1 in the FA Cup in their last game with Michail Antonio scoring their lone goal.
West Ham manager David Moyes won’t be able to use Vladimir Coufal, Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko in this contest due to injury while Tomas Soucek is game-time decision after taking an elbow to the head in their last game that required stitches.
West Ham beat Liverpool 3-2 back in November in the most recent meeting between the two clubs. Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma struck for the Hammers, who also benefited from an own goal from Liverpool keeper Alisson Becker. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Divock Origi were the goal scorers for the Reds.
We are backing Liverpool to beat West Ham and both teams to score.
