Scotland are aiming to secure the second spot and earn a play-off berth in Group F of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers on their visit to Moldova on Friday.

Steve Clarke's side have won their last four games to stay in second place in the group with 17 points from eight games. Scotland will earn a play-off ticket if they beat Moldova in this game as they did in Glasgow in September. Lyndon Dykes scored early to lead the Scots to a 1-0 win.

Scotland beat the Faroe Islands 1-0 in their last game where Dykes scored again.

Dykes, however, won't play here as well as Ryan Christie because of suspensions. Ryan Fraser is also absent. Kieran Tierney could feature after returning from injury.

Moldova, meanwhile, have no more chance of advancing to the World Cup. They currently sit at the bottom of the group with just one point.

Roberto Bordin's side have lost their last seven games in the qualifiers. Moldova suffered a 2-1 defeat to Israel in their last game where Ion Nicolaescu scored in injury time.

Only Oleg Reabciuk will not be able to play for Moldova here after he got a red card in their last game.
