Manchester City are aiming to secure their fifth straight win in the English Premier League when they visit Watford on Saturday.

The Citizens recorded a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday to stay in second place in the league with 32 points from 14 games, just a point behind leaders Chelsea. Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva gave Man City a 2-0 advantage before they conceded a goal.

Prior to that win, the defending champions beat Manchester United (2-0), Everton (3-0) and West Ham United (2-1). Pep Guardiola's side have also won their last six games in all competitions.

Aymeric Laporte returns from suspension but Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne are not expected to feature for Man City in this contest.

Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones and Kyle Walker are also unsure while Ferran Torres remains out.

Watford are coming off back-to-back defeats to Leicester City (4-2) and Chelsea (2-1).

Claudio Ranieri's side have lost four times in their last five games and they are currently in 17th place with 13 points from 14 games.

The Hornets have a long injury list and among those who will not play here are Ismaïla Sarr, Nicolas Nkoulou, Ben Foster, Ken Sema and Oghenekaro Etebo.

Man City beat Watford in their last 13 meetings in all competitions. The Hornets last beat the Citizens in 1989.
