The switch may have flicked at Canterbury. At the very least, they’ve sneakily improved and the market has not caught up.
The bottom-ranked Bulldogs (2-15, 6 points) got flogged by Manly three weeks back but overall have been more than respectable with six covers in their last eight meetings. They lost to both the Roosters and the Rabbitohs by single digits across the last two weeks.
It is also very hard to get excited about betting the Sharks (7-10, 16 points) considering they have lost to both the Bulldogs and Broncos this year and come off being hammered by Canberra.
Double digit favourites off a loss have covered just 7 of 24 games across the last four seasons.
The Bulldogs are up and about this week after signing Phil Gould. The Sharks have lost Aiden Tolman to suspension.
The Bulldogs only have two wins this season but one of those triumphs came at the expense of the Sharks in Round 7.
