South Sydney (14-3, 30 points) are entitled to win this and win it well but their willingness to take their foot off the pedal in key times makes laying a big start a concern here, particularly with Alex Johnston sidelined.
The Bunnies have an excellent record against the slumping Warriors (5-12, 12 points). They have won 10 of the last 11 clashes with wins of more than 20 in three of the last four. The Warriors have not covered any of their last nine and enter this without star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
A couple of numbers are of concern though. The Rabbitohs have covered just three of their last 10 when favoured by double digits and have been pretty poor in recent outings against Canterbury and the Wests Tigers. This is also not a bad spot for the Warriors though, who are 18-8 against the number off a double digit loss.
There is a strong degree of confidence though betting the over. These two have a long history of high scoring matches with 15 of 19 matches since 2008 going over the total. The total has reached 50 in five of their last seven.
Souths are a big over team this year, hitting the over in 11 of 17. They are 8-4 over off scoring 30-plus. The Warriors go over at 62% interstate and at 60% when they are an underdog. This one should be another high-scoring affair.
