Birmingham City vs Stoke City Tips, Predictions & Free Bets
Stoke City will make the short trip across the Midlands this weekend to take on fellow Championship side Birmingham City. The away team find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table after five games this season and despite a cup win in the week, are tipped to struggle here.

Birmingham City Form & Team News
Birmingham City have had an inconsistent start to the Championship this season. The Blues have won two, lost two and drawn one of their opening five games this season. Their most recent result saw them get rolled over 3-0 away at Swansea City.
Pep Clotet’s side have only lost one of their last six games at St Andrew's. They have, however, also only won one. The Blues have drawn four of their last six games at home, with both teams scoring in each encounter. They did win their last home game against Barnsley 2-0, with Lukas Jutkiewicz and Alvaro Giminez being the scorers.
Birmingham will need to rely on their home form this season and will see Stoke as a very winnable fixture. The Blues are priced at 2.91, which is excellent value considering their opponent’s recent form. A draw no-bet is a little safer and is currently available at 1.90 with bet365 and this is my tip for the match.
Stoke City Form & Team News
Nathan Jones will have been relieved to see his side defeat Leeds United in the English League Cup this past week but he will know that he needs to turn it around in the league.
The Potters are rooted to the bottom of the Championship after losing four and drawing one of their opening five fixtures. Their last league match saw them get comfortably defeated 3-0 at home by Leeds.
Jack Butland will be feeling confident after taking the winning penalty for Stoke on Tuesday night and will feel as though he can fight for his place back in the first team. He was, however, at fault for one of Leeds’s goals.
Danny Batth and Sam Vokes were both on the scoresheet for Stoke at Elland Road and both can make a case for being placed back in the first-team following impressive displays. Nathan Jones may want to shuffle some players about as he goes for his first win of the season.
Stoke, despite their current form, are narrow favourites for the match at odds of 2.50 with bet365. This is surprising given their position in the league.
Birmingham City vs Stoke City Match Analysis - Stoke face an uphill battle
Stoke’s victory over Leeds United in the English League Cup this week may have given the club a small boost but ultimately, it is just papering over cracks. The club were demolished by both Leeds and Preston in their last two league games and will need to be much more consistent in the middle of the park if they are going to get anything against Birmingham.
The Blues themselves are inconsistent but they looked excellent at home against Barnsley in their last home league game. The game will be very close but Birmingham look the stronger side at the moment.
Birmingham City vs Stoke City Betting Tips - Draw no bet for the Blues
Stoke City’s woes are likely to continue this weekend and I’m tipping Birmingham to get the result in the draw no bet market. The Blues are currently priced at 1.90 in that market and I believe that presents great value for the punter, while also offering a little insurance.
