Cardiff City Form & Team News
Cardiff will come into Tuesday's game off the back of a disappointing 3-0 loss at the hands of Reading on Sunday.
The bluebirds, who were favourites for the game, were stunned by a spirited Reading display. That was their second loss of the new season, having been defeated away from home by Wigan 3-2 on the opening day.
They had more luck at home in their first game though. They defeated newly promoted Luton Town 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Issac Vassell. They also won back to back pre-season friendlies at the stadium before the season.
Vassell is likely to lead the line for Neil Warnock's men on Wednesday after starting on the bench against Reading. Cardiff's team failed to impress and Warnock may look at making a few changes. Joe Ralls is now confirmed to be back to full health after nearly missing Sunday's game due to an illness.
The club are still without the injured Neil Etheridge and will once again start former Huddersfield keeper Alex Smithies in goal. Sean Morrison and Aiden Flint are likely to be the two defenders in front of him.
Cardiff are generously priced at 2.05 with bet365, which is great value given Huddersfield's weak start to the campaign. A draw is priced at 3.30.
Huddersfield Town Form & Team News
Huddersfield's Jan Siewert became the first managerial casualty of the season last weekend when the club fired him following a 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham last Friday night. The club have not picked up a win in their first three games of the season so far.
Their 2-1 defeat at Fulham did see them grab their first goal from open play this campaign though, with Karlan Grant getting his second goal in as many games for the Yorkshire based club.
New signing Frazer Campbell was not on the bench for the club on Friday but could make an appearance for the club in the Welsh capital. Caretaker boss Mark Hudson may want to freshen things up and leave his own stamp on the team as he aims to get the job on a permanent basis.
Huddersfield are priced at 3.75 to pick up their first win of the season on Wednesday, which feels very unlikely very right now.
Cardiff City vs Huddersfield Analysis - Cardiff to bounce back
Cardiff's 3-0 trouncing at the hands of Reading at the weekend was a shock to everyone and Neil Warnock will be determined not to let that happen again. The bluebirds have won their last three games at home in all competitions and will feel confident that they can extend that on Wednesday.
Huddersfield will not be feeling very confident after a rocky start to the campaign. The Terriers' heads have dropped following their relegation from the Premier League last season, and they are not showing signs of bouncing back anytime soon.
Cardiff City vs Huddersfield Tips - Back a home win
Cardiff have looked good on their home turf in recent weeks. Their 2-1 victory against Luton sent their fans home happy last time around and they will be looking to show that Sunday's pasting at the hands of Reading was just a blip.
Huddersfield's terrible run of form shows no sign of stopping soon. At 2.05 with bet365, Cardiff are great value to pick up the victory.
Huddersfield have also failed to score past Cardiff in their last 3 matches with the team, so a small outlay on Cardiff to win nil at 3.40 is also an excellent bet.
