Sheffield Wednesday Form & Team News
Sheffield Wednesday suffered their first defeat of the Championship season at the weekend, losing 1-0 away against Milwall. The Yorkshire based club had won their previous two league games, defeating Barnsley at home 2-0 and Reading away 3-1.
The Owls made several changes for their game against Millwall, with some of them not working out in the way that caretaker manager Lee Bullen had hoped. Fans will be hoping that the team goes back to the 4-3-3 formation that saw them pick up victories in their opening two games.
Fernando Forestieri could lean the line alongside Steven Fletcher and Jordan Rhodes, though, Jacob Murphy has impressed in recent weeks and a lot of fans would be disappointed to see him dropped.
Caretaker manager Lee Bullen has impressed the Hillsborough fans with his management so far and he is expected to be appointed full-time manager very soon.
Wednesday are currently priced at 1.90 with bet365 to pick up the victory in this match. That is great value. The Owls will want to put Saturday behind them and get back to winning ways.
Luton Town Form & Team News
Luton Town fans will be disappointed to have seen their team's 18 month unbeaten home record come to an end at the weekend. The Hatters were defeated thanks to a quickfire double against West Brom at the weekend and are still yet to pick up a win in the Championship.
Graeme Jones's men have been highly entertaining though. They have produced over 2.5 goals in every game they have played so far and Hatters fans have seen that happen in 16 of their last 17 games.
Jones is unlikely to make too many changes to his side on Tuesday. James Collins and Elliot Lee will continue to lead the line for The Hatters who have not struggled in front of goal. The team will need to sure up their defence if they are to fight for positions in this division.
They are priced out at 4.33 with bet365. While Luton are a highly entertaining side, it seems unlikely they will be able to grab their first victory on Tuesday night.
Sheffield Wednesday vs Luton Town Analysis - The Owls to get back on track
Luton Town have shown that they can compete with some of the bigger sides in the division in their three opening games. They have had a difficult start playing against Middlesbrough, Cardiff and West Brom and things won't get any easier for them against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls have been one of the surprise packages of the season so far. Lee Bullen's men have played some excellent football and fans will fancy the club as potential dark horses this season. They finished last season strongly under Steve Bruce and have managed to carry some of that momentum forward.
One thing the game is likely to produce is goals. Luton have been highly entertaining in recent weeks and Sheffield Wednesday have also shown that they know where the net is.
Sheffield Wednesday vs Luton Town Tips- Over 2.5 goals offers value
Luton Town have seen over 2.5 goals in 16 of their last 17 league games stretching back to their run in League One. Graeme Jones's men play highly entertaining attacking football and there is nothing to suggest we won't see plenty of goals once again on Tuesday.
Odds of seeing over 2.5 goals are currently available at 1.90 with bet365, which is great value given Luton's recent run. Luton have also seen both teams score in every game so far this campaign, including in the League Cup, so at 1.72, that is also worth a small outlay.
Sheffield Wednesday at 1.90 are also great value for the win. Luton have struggled to hold on to leads or even draws in their last few games, and Wednesday looked strong in their last outing at Hillsborough.
