Aston Villa Form & Team News

Aston Villa nearly caused one of the biggest shocks of the weekend last Saturday when they held a lead away at Tottenham for over 60 minutes of the game. They were eventually undone thanks to a debut goal from Ndombele and a late brace from Harry Kane. Villa fans will be happy with the performance put out though.

Dean Smith will have been pleased with his team’s performance on Saturday and may be tempted to stick with the same starting 11. He does, however, have the likes of Jota and  Matt Targett are going to be pushing for a place in the side for this week’s game.

Villa have played highly entertaining, attacking football under Dean Smith. Five of the last six games at Villa Park have seen both teams score and the game end 2-1. There has also been over 2.5 goals in seven of the last eight games at the ground.

Bournemouth Form & Team News

Bournemouth will also come into Saturday’s game feeling as though they were unlucky on the opening weekend. The Cherries were robbed of an opening day victory against Sheffield United thanks to a late equaliser for the Blades from Billy Sharp.

Eddie Howe has quite a list of injuries to contend with at the moment, and it seems unlikely that his squad are going to be able to hit the ground running in the same way that they did last campaign.

Aaran Ramsdale once again impressed between the sticks for Bournemouth last week and is likely to keep his place once again. Howe won’t tinker with his side too much on Saturday, with Callum Wilson leading the line for the side once again.

Bournemouth haven't travelled particularly over the last few months. The club have lost 11 of their last 14 Premier League away games and they conceded more goals away from home than any other team in the division last season.

Bournemouth are currently valued at odds of 2.90 to win the match with bet365, while a draw is available at 3.40.

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth Analysis- Home victory expected

Villa fans will be eager to get a first victory back in the Premier League, and a home fixture against Bournemouth is the perfect opportunity for that.

Eddie Howe’s men’s poor run of form away from home, coupled with Villa’s ability to score a lot on their home turf doesn’t bode too well for Bournemouth. Villa do also have a habit of conceding at home though, so expect this game to be an entertaining one if nothing else.

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth Tips - Great value for a Villa win

Aston Villa are currently priced at 2.40 for the victory on Saturday afternoon, which is excellent value given their form on their home patch and Bournemouth’s weak run of form away from home.

One thing both of these teams have also proven is that they are capable of scoring. Both teams to score in this game is available at 1.61, which is also worth a punt given their previous records.

Five of Villa’s last six games at Villa Park have ended 2-1. A repeat of that scoreline on Saturday is available at 10.00, which is excellent value.
