Everton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Tips, Predictions & Free Bets

Everton and Wolves will meet in the Premier League this week after both securing wins in cup competitions mid-week. The two sides have both stuttered at the start of the new Premier League campaign though and a draw is my tip for the match at odds of 3.25.

Everton Form & Team News

The Toffees have had an inconsistent start to their new season. They were defeated 2-0 by Aston Villa in their last Premier League outing before bouncing back against Lincoln and winning 4-2 in the English League Cup.

They have won one, drawn one and lost one of their opening three games so far. Their solitary victory came in the second game when Bernard scored to hand them a 1-0 win against Watford at Goodison Park.

Marco Silva’s men have struggled in front of goal though. They have netted once so far this season in the league. They did net four times in the league cup against Lincoln.

Alex Iwobi, who arrived from Arsenal this summer grabbed a goal against Lincoln and will be pushing for a place in the starting eleven now. First-team regulars Sigurdsson and Richarlison both got on the scoresheet at Sincil Bank and are likely to start again. Moise Kean had a good game against Lincoln and was unlucky to score, he may well push for a start ahead of Calvin-Lewis on Sunday.

A win for Everton is priced at 2.20 with bet365. This isn’t bad value but given Everton’s inconsistent form, a draw is my tip at odds of 3.25.

Wolves Form & Team News

Wolves fans will be delighted with their team after they defeated Torino 2-1 in the week to ensure their spot in the Europa League group stages.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been brilliant in Europe so far but have struggled in the Premier League. They have drawn their opening three games, with their last match against Burnley being saved by a last-minute Raul Jimenez penalty to make it 1-1.

Nuno can focus on the Premier League for the next week at least and will welcome the coming international break. His team will have to be rotated once again on Sunday. Ruben Neves is likely to return to the starting eleven again on Saturday after making a cameo appearance against Torino. Raul Jimenez has been excellent for the Blues so far and will start again alongside Diego Jota.

Wolves are priced at odds of 3.50 to pick up the victory on Sunday. They have drawn their last three matches and with fatigue kicking in, a draw is better value.

Wolves vs Everton Match Analysis - Stalemate between European hopefuls

Both Wolves and Everton were heavily tipped to compete for a spot in Europe again this season. Neither team has hit the ground running but Wolves will take some confidence from the fact that they are unbeaten.

Everton have been inconsistent and Wolves will be their most difficult test of the season so far. Marco Silva’s side still look shaky at the back and with Raul Jimenez firing on all cylinders, Wolves look well-placed to grab at least one goal in the match.

Wolves vs Everton Betting Tips - Tight draw

Wolves and Everton are both great sides who have not yet managed to find form in the Premier League. Wolves have drawn their last three games in the Premier League and will prove a tough nut for Everton to crack.

A bet on a draw at 3.25 offers excellent value here. The game is not likely to produce a great deal of goals but Wolves have drawn each of their last two matches 1-1. A repeat scoreline alongside a bet on both teams to score also make sense and are good value. BTTS is currently priced at 1.95 with bet365. A 1-1 draw is priced at 6.50.
