Pyunik Yerevan vs Wolves Predictions, Tips and Free Bets
Wolves will continue their unlikely European journey this week when they take on Armenian outsiders, Pyunink away from home.
Pyunik Yerevan Vs Wolves Match Details
|Date||Thursday 8th August|
|Venue||Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium|
|Competition||UEFA Europa League|
|Time||17:00 (GMT +1)|
Pyunik Form & Team News
Pyunink have defied the odds in the first two qualifying rounds of the Europa League this year, defeating Macedonian side, Shkupi 5-4 on aggregate and Czech side, Jablonec 2-1 in the previous round.
Andrei Talalayev’s team have been on impressive form recently. The Armenian club has only lost one of their last 17 competitive games, and are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions.
This is one of the biggest matches in the club’s history and the Armenian League allowed them to cancel Saturday’s game against Lori FC in order to prepare for this tie.
The Armenians are really not fancied by bookmakers here, with Bet365 pricing them all the way at 13.00.
Wolves Form & Team News
Wolves are just days away from the start of their new Premier League campaign, and such a long trip away from home has no doubt been a bit of a pain for their preparations.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men comfortably cruised past Irish side, The Crusaders, 6-1 in their opening round and will be expecting a similar result this time around.
Wolves have added well to their squad over the summer, Raul Jiminez has joined the club on a permanent deal from Benfica, Jesus Vallejo has joined on a season-long loan from Real Madrid and Italian striker, Patrick Cutrone has joined from AC Milan.
Nuno will look to use some of these new players in tonight’s fixture but will no doubt rotate some of his squad as well with Saturday at the back of his mind.
Pyunik Yerevan vs Wolves Analysis- Wolves to continue to look strong
Wolves were comfortable victors over Crusaders in their first qualifying games, and fans can expect more of the same when they travel to Armenia.
Pyunik have put on spirited displays in the first two rounds but Wolves are a serious step up in quality from the teams they have faced previously.
Nuno will see this game as an opportunity to test some things out before their big kickoff against Leicester at the weekend, but a victory should be a formality for the Midlands’ club, who are currently priced at 1.13 with Bet365.
Pyunik Yerevan Vs Wolves Tips- Cutrone to get on the scoresheet
With the winner markets not presenting much value for this game, the goal markets are a little more enticing.
Patrick Cutrone is likely to start for Wolves and the Italian will see this as a great opportunity to make a name for himself with the Wolves faithful. At 2.00, he is great value in the anytime goalscorer market, given the number of chances, Wolves are likely to create.
An outside bet would be on both teams to score, which is currently valued at 2.50 with Bet365. Pyuink have only failed to score twice in their last 21 games, and they are likely to want to give their home fans something to cheer about in the game.
The result market offers very little value, but a Wolves -1 handicap does offer nice value odds at 1.53.
