Celtic Form & Team News
Celtic come into Sunday's Scottish Premiership match with Hearts having won their mid-week Europa League game against AIK 2-0. Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest both got themselves on the scoresheet, with Forrest grabbing his fourth goal in as many games.
Celtic's competitive campaign started all the way back on July 9th when they played away to Sarajevo in the Europa League. The Scottish champions have showed few signs of fatigue and have only lost won in the 11 games since. They have won eight of the games, six out of seven of those were at home.
Neil Lennon had to leave out some key players for Thursday's game and may have to make a few changes to his side on Sunday. Edouard and Ryan Christie will start up top but the interesting decision will be who starts in goal. Fraser Forster arrived to the club on loan from Southampton this week and will battle Craig Gordon for a starting spot in the team.
Celtic have started the season very strong, winning their first two league games, 7-0 and 5-2. They are strong favourites for the game at 1.22 with bet365. The handicap market presents some good value. The club are at 1.66 with a -1 handicap, and 2.75 with -2, which both present great value given their goalscoring form.
Hearts Form & Team News
Hearts have had a slow start to the new campaign. They drew 0-0 at home with Ross County last weekend and were on the end of 3-2 defeat on the opening day to Aberdeen following a red card for Aaron Hickey which completely changed the game.
Craig Levein's men have a poor recent record against Celtic. They have not beaten the Bhoys in their last 19 attempts and there is little to suggest that that is going to change on Sunday.
Hearts will be without star striker Kevin Naismith after he picked up a hamstring injury and that will be a huge blow for them. They may hand a debut to new signing Glen Wheelan.
Hearts are, unsurprisingly, not fancied in this match by the bookies and are all the way out at 11.00 with bet365 to pick up the victory. A draw is available at 6.50.
Celtic vs Hearts Analysis - Celtic to get the win
Celtic's season stuttered a little bit when they were defeated 4-3 by Cluj and knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and they will see their league matches as a good chance to get back on track.
They have scored 12 goals in the league so far this season and should be able to get past a Hearts side who have yet to pick up a win in the league. Kevin Naismith's absence will also have a huge impact on the travelling team.
Celtic vs Hearts Tips - Value in the handicap and goalscorer markets
Celtic are not worth betting on in the winner's markets at 1.22 but the handicap market offers value to punters. At 2.75 with a -2 handicap, Celtic are great value and that is our tip for the encounter.
James Forrest has been on fine form for the Hoops as well scoring four in his last four matches, so at 2.50 in the anytime scorer and 6.50 in the first goalscorer markets, he is excellent value.
