Rangers Form & Team News
Steven Gerard’s men will come into this game confident that they can secure themselves a place in the Europa League this season. The side drew 0-0 with their opponents in the Polish capital last week and will fancy their chances based on recent home form.
Following last week’s game, Rangers won 1-0 away at St Mirren with Borna Barisic getting himself on the scoresheet. The Gers are also on an excellent run of form at home. They have won 11 of their last 12 games at Ibrox in all competitions.
They have been on great form at home in the Europa League too. They have beaten St Josephs, Progres Niederkorn and Midtylland so far in the competition, scoring an impressive 11 goals and conceding just one.
Gerard will likely rotate some of his team again and play a similar side to the one that took on Legia Warsaw last week. Jermain Defoe led the line for the side on Sunday but may be rested if Sheyi Ojo is back to fitness after picking up a knock.
Rangers are clear favourites to win the match. The Scottish side are priced at 1.44 with bet365 to pick up the victory.
Legia Warsaw Form & Team News
Legia Warsaw will have been frustrated to have not gotten a goal in the first leg of this match. Ibrox is a difficult place to visit and the Polish side will have a tough task on their hands.
Aleksandar Vuković’s side followed up their 0-0 draw with Rangers by defeating LKS Lodz 3-2 away from home. Warsaw went behind twice in the match, with Jaroslaw Niezgoda grabbing a late winner for the capital team. He had also scored for them in the earlier game.
Warsaw have struggled away from home in Europe. They have only won one of their last nine away games in the competition. They have also failed to score in three of their last five away fixtures in Europe.
Vuković, like Gerard, will want to name his strongest side for the game. Sandro Kulenovic started for the side last week but his place may be under threat from Jaroslaw Niezgoda after his brace at the weekend.
Rangers vs Legia Warsaw Match Analysis - Rangers to get through
Thursday’s game will be the most important of Rangers’ season so far and with an old-firm derby against Celtic coming up at the weekend, they will want to keep their momentum going.
Their form at Ibrox, coupled with the fact that they were fairly strong against Legia Warsaw away from home, suggests that they are going to get through this game will relative ease on Thursday night.
Rangers vs Legia Warsaw Betting Tips - Rangers win to nil
Rangers are priced to win the match at 1.44 with bet365, which doesn’t particularly present punters with that much value.
There is some excellent value to be found in the win to nil market though, and given that Rangers have an excellent clean sheet record in Europe, a bet on them to win to nil at 2.05 with bet365 presents great value for punters.
